1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Word Search Solver website (the "Service"), including any content, functionality, and tools offered. By using the Service, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

Word Search Solver is a free online tool that helps users find hidden words within word search puzzle grids. The Service operates entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. No data is transmitted to our servers. The Service includes:

Grid parsing and word search algorithms
Visual highlighting of found words
Copy results functionality
Sample puzzle data for demonstration

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. Eligibility

The Service is available to anyone, regardless of age or location. You do not need to register or provide any personal information. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 13, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. The Service is intended for educational, recreational, and professional puzzle-solving purposes.

4. User Conduct and Responsibilities

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the source code of the Service beyond normal browser inspection.

Because all processing occurs locally, your use of the Service does not affect other users. However, we reserve the right to take appropriate action against any abusive behavior detected on the website interface itself (such as excessive automated requests).

However, you are free to copy, share, and embed results (such as the coordinates of found words) generated by the Service. Those outputs are not proprietary and belong to you as derived from your input data.

YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WORD SEARCH SOLVER EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT (A) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, (B) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, (C) THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE, OR (D) ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.

Word search puzzles may contain formatting errors, typos, or inconsistencies. The solver does its best to match letters, but we do not guarantee that every word will be found in every scenario — especially with irregular spacing or non-standard character sets.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WORD SEARCH SOLVER, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE, OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WORD SEARCH SOLVER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Because the Service runs entirely in your browser, we are not responsible for any data loss, device damage, or software conflicts that may arise from using the tool. You are responsible for backing up any important information before using the Service.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Word Search Solver, its developers, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from (a) your use of and access to the Service; (b) your violation of any term of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right. This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the Service.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources (such as GitHub, Google Fonts, or font repositories). You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible or liable for the availability, accuracy, content, or practices of such third-party websites or resources. Links to such websites or resources do not imply any endorsement by Word Search Solver. You acknowledge sole responsibility for and assume all risk arising from your use of any such websites or resources.

10. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be posted on this page with an updated "Effective" date. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) temporarily or permanently with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of these Terms shall be finally settled by binding arbitration in San Francisco County, California, using the English language. The prevailing party in any action to enforce these Terms shall be entitled to recover its reasonable attorneys' fees and costs.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights.

12. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Word Search Solver regarding the use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements between you and Word Search Solver relating to your use of the Service.

By using Word Search Solver, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
