How to Play Snake
Eat the apples
Each apple adds 10 points and makes the snake one segment longer. The game speeds up as you score.
Don’t crash
Hitting your own body ends the run. In Deadly mode, hitting a wall ends it too. In Wrap mode you reappear on the opposite side.
🎓 Snake Strategy Tips
- Stay away from the edges early. Playing in the middle gives you room to turn, while walls remove half your options.
- Plan two moves ahead. Before each turn, check where your tail will be, not just where it is now.
- Build a loop pattern. When the snake gets long, sweep the board in rows so you never trap yourself in a pocket.
- Don’t chase the apple head-on. A longer route that keeps your space open is safer than a straight line into a corner.
- Try Wrap mode. Removing the walls makes the game more forgiving and is great for practising long-snake routes.
